The West End Farmers Market will close out Pride Month with a Pride-themed market event on Sunday, June 29, from 3 to 7 PM at California Park (16th and Prentice). The event will focus on wellness, belonging, and Black LGBTQIA+ creativity.
The market will be hosted by Fairen Kia of Love Thy Belly, with music provided by DJ IBJamn. Play Cousins Collective will offer family-friendly Scrumptious Sunday activities, while UofL Health will lead Stop the Bleed demonstrations to teach life-saving techniques.
Organizers are currently seeking LGBTQIA+ performers, who will be paid $50 per performance, as well as LGBTQIA+ vendors and volunteers to assist with setup, community partner support, and cleanup between 1 PM and 8 PM. Vendors can apply at https://forms.gle/jaixu3pwWQj62ekG6…
