FLOYD COUNTY, Ind. — Last month the Floyd County Commissioners voted in favor of starting the intent to dissolve the Floyd County Solid Waste Department. This comes as they navigate the changes to taxes in Indiana’s House Bill 1 and its impact on local budgets.
The department has become the go-to spot for locals to dive up and drop off their recyclables like William Thomas who visits once a week.
