LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The spring meet at Churchill Downs brought an increased number of horses suffering fatal injuries.
The track reported seven horse fatalities for the months of May and June, more than all of last year.
“It was very obvious,” Kayla Centaure said after witnessing one of the racing deaths in June. “It was a catastrophic break in one of his front legs where it was just swinging.”…
