Louisville police officer continues recovery after 2023 bank shooting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Louisville police shared an update on Officer Nick Wilt’s progress on Tuesday as he continues to recover from a 2023 shooting.

Wilt was injured in the line of duty when he responded to an active shooter situation on April 10, 2023, at Old National Bank in Louisville. After an extensive stay in various Louisville hospitals and rehabilitation centers, Wilt was finally discharged and allowed to continue his recovery at home.

Wilt has come a long way, but he will continue to heal for the rest of his life, according to his family.
