LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Beginning Aug. 3, TARC will implement changes to its routing, schedule and service adjustments.
These changes will help TARC be more reliable and better serve the community with consistenton-time performance, as well as adjust pick up locations around the Nia Center as TARC ends operations there.
A press release details that changes that are divided into four categories:
- Nia Center stop location adjustments as TARC ends operations on Nia Center property. Boardings will now take place near the intersection of Broadway and 28th instead of in the parking lot behind the Nia Center or in front of the building on Broadway. The #21 Chestnut Street bus will no longer travel to the Nia Center.
- Schedule adjustments to 10 routes to improve reliability, consistency, and better match school and employer start times. The routes affected are listed below.
- Slight routing adjustments to the #4 Fourth Street and the #6 Sixth Street in downtown Louisville. Both buses will continue on 5th Street between Market and Main instead of making a block long detour to 4th Street.
- Discontinuation of two very limited Shopper services and a reduction for the other three Shoppers in areas already covered by daily transit service. The two discontinued Shoppers currently operate once a month and once a week, respectively, and operate in areas with frequent daily service.
