‘Here we go again’: Crashes continue on busy stretch of Louisville road after city decides to not make changes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – It’s been more than a year since Ron Hargrove made a request to Metro Public Works for two intersections on a half-mile stretch of West Hill Street to get more safety measures.

“All we’re asking is for two measly four-way stops in this area,” he said. “I can go anywhere in the other parts of town and see four-way stops, blinking lights, slow down signs, and so forth. We’re just asking for two.”

Broken glass and random car parts have continued to pile up since then as crashes continue to happen. On Sunday morning, police say the driver of a pickup truck was arrested for striking two vehicles in the 1700 block of West Hill Street…
