KENTUCKY, USA — It’s nearly time to pack away the swim floaties and pool noodles. The first day of school is fast-approaching for many students in Kentucky and southern Indiana.
The vast majority of Kentucky-Indiana area schools open the week of Aug. 4th. Kentucky’s largest school district, Jefferson County Public Schools, starts on Thursday, Aug. 7th.
Schools in our area with the earliest start date are within the Silver Creek School Corporation in Sellersburg, Indiana. Students there start classes on Tuesday, July 29.
