‘A quiet thunder’: Community leaders ask for prayer, talk legacy of Muhammad Ali’s brother amid health concerns

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A group of community leaders gathered Monday at Rahman Ali’s home church asking people to continue to pray after it was announced that the brother of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali was in hospice care.

While Muhammad Ali’s legacy as a civil rights champion who fought for peace is well known, Rahman took on those same challenges.

Community leaders said Ali was admitted to the hospital on July 19 after saying he wasn’t feeling like himself. People at the King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church, where he attends, talked about the impact he’s had on Louisville…
