LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville’s indie music scene is stepping into the national spotlight, with two hometown artists releasing major albums and playing back-to-back shows at Whirling Tiger this week.
Wombo, a three-piece art-rock band praised by outlets like Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, will release their latest album on Friday and kick off a national tour shortly after. They’re set to perform at Whirling Tiger on Thursday, August 8, with local musician Grace Rogers opening the show.
Just two nights earlier, Ryan Davis, known for his work with the band State Champion, will take the same stage to celebrate the release of his new solo album.
