LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an arrest at St. Joe’s Picnic for Kids last weekend in Louisville. A witness captured video showing a Jefferson County Sheriff’s reserve member grabbing a girl by her hair while arresting her outside the picnic.
Around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Lauren Muir went to St. Joe’s picnic with her daughter, who had called saying she needed an adult to enter. That’s when she witnessed Jefferson County Sheriff’s Reserve Sergeant Derrick White in the middle of arrest.
“They were having an exchange of words from my perspective. She seemed to be in distress, and, you know, asking to go in. At the time, I didn’t know that her friend had already been put in handcuffs and taken behind the gate,” Muir said…
