LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A person is in the hospital after a shooting in St. Matthews on Saturday, Aug. 16.
St. Matthews Assistant Police Chief Tony Cobaugh said the shooting happened just before 11 a.m. in the 800 block of Markham Lane, where the Jamestown Apartments are located. When officers arrived, they noticed a unit with the door open, two people standing outside, and a gun on the ground with the magazine separated from the weapon. The officer secured the gun, and the people outside the unit told him someone had been shot inside.
The victim, who had been shot multiple times, was taken to UofL Hospital, where they are facing life-threatening injuries…
