JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) — A man was arrested after a four-hour standoff Friday that began with police finding a headless body in a Jeffersonville home.
Early Friday afternoon, a post on the Jeffersonville Police Department Facebook page warned the public to avoid the area due to a “tactical situation in the 3000 block Callaway Drive” off Charlestown Pike.
Around 9:56 a.m., police responded to the 1700 block of Summerlin Place on a welfare check, not far from Callaway Drive, on a homicide investigation. One person was killed at the scene on Summerlin, police said, and an armed person of interest was located on Callaway.
