JCPS superintendent addresses safety concerns and budget deficit

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Jefferson County Public Schools held another community conversation series at Louisville Male High School on Saturday, Aug. 17.

Student safety was front and center at JCPS’ community conversations, following the recent tragedy in the Russell neighborhood, where a woman was killed while walking her child to a bus stop.

Edwina Hazel has three JCPS bus riders, and she shared her concerns directly with Superintendent Brian Yearwood, urging him to find solutions so that something like this never happens again…
