Jeffersonville Police chief steps down effective immediately. Here’s why.

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. — Jeffersonville Police Chief Kenny Kavanaugh is stepping down as the department’s leader, effective immediately.

Kavanaugh, who has been in the role for 10 years, made the announcement Thursday afternoon. He said he will still be with the department, serving in his permanent rank of captain.
