LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Librarians in JCPS high schools are noticing more books being checked out with the cellphone ban in full effect.
Librarians at Pleasure Ridge Park High said it appears more students are reading books this year, even during down time.
JCPS students now face severe restrictions on when and where they can use their cellphones in school, thanks to a new Kentucky law that took effect this school year. PRP librarians said a thousand books were checked out during the first 16 days of school — compared to 2,100 during all of last year…
