Latest crime numbers suggest progress in fighting violent crime, community activists are skeptical

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Non-fatal shootings and homicides in Louisville are both down 31 percent compared to this time last year, according to LMPD.

The dramatic decrease coincides with a 36 percent increase in officers making self-initiated runs.
