LOUISVILLE, Ky. — School districts across Kentucky have adopted House Bill 208, which requires districts to create and enforce rules limiting or prohibiting cellphone use during school hours to reduce distractions and help students concentrate. Jefferson County Public Schools reports seeing a rise in library visits. Other school districts are also seeing a major impact on their students.
Oldham County High School has already had a similar cellphone policy in place for the last couple of years, but this is the first year students must put their phones in “the phone home”. Students and staff say they are already noticing a difference.
