Demolition of Louisville home leads to damage to 2 others, injures woman, official says

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The demolition of one home led to two more being damaged and a woman being sent to the hospital, according to an official with Louisville Codes and Regulations.

The incident happened Monday around 2:30 p.m. when Codes and Regulations began demolition on a house at 2332 Magazine Street, according to the official. The building was being demolished since it was a safety hazard and crumbling. Squatters were cleared out before they started the demolition.

The official said that when Codes and Regs began the demolition, a wall fell and hit the home next to it, knocking it off its foundation. That home now needs to be demolished as well…
