LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two Metro Councilmembers have proposed changing a city ordinance to make it easier for lost pets to be reunited with their owners.
Councilwoman Donna Purvis (District 5) and Councilman Andrew Owen (District 8) filed an amendment to the current animal ordinance on Monday. The change would require pet owners to microchip their dogs and cats.
