LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man accused of driving drunk in a crash that killed a 12-year-old on the Gene Snyder Freeway in Louisville has now been indicted for murder.
According to Louisville Metro Police, Renaldo Gill slammed into Jasmine Simpson’s car on the Gene Snyder around 2:30 a.m. on Labor Day.
Simpson and her daughters, ages 12 and four, were ejected from the vehicle. At the time of the crash, LMPD said they were not wearing seatbelts, and the 4-year-old’s car seat was not secured properly.
Jada Smith, 12, died at the scene. Simpson and her 4-year-old were taken to the hospital. At last check, the 4-year-old had been released, but Simpson remained in the ICU. Her current status is unknown. She also faces charges in the crash for failing to secure her children…
