First woman JCPS superintendent lays in unmarked grave for nearly 100 years; neighbors now looking to change that

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An unknown number of unmarked graves sit unnoticed in the Cave Hill Cemetery.

What’s rare is to see a group of neighbors come together for a woman they’ve never met, to place a headstone on her unmarked grave nearly 100 years after her death.
