LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A celebration was held Tuesday for a new park in Louisville’s Russell neighborhood.
Mayor Craig Greenberg, Louisville Parks and Recreation and other community partners celebrated the grand opening of New Walnut Street Park. The nearly 4-acre park represents a $3.7 million investment.
The park is located at 13th Street and West Muhammad Ali Boulevard. It offers amenities for all ages, including the first pickleball courts west of Ninth Street, a synthetic turf multi-sports field for community games, a tennis court, a pavilion and plaza, a spray ground, a playground and a walking path…
