LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Louisville Gas and Electric (LG&E) and Kentucky Utilities (KU) reached an agreement on a request to increase base rates.
The agreement was filed for approval on Monday with the Kentucky Public Service Commission (KPSC).
Officials said the increase is necessary to support “ongoing system enhancements and hardening projects to defend against the impacts of more frequent and severe storms, implement new technologies, meet increased energy needs and improve customers’ service.”
