Kentucky State Representative sentenced to home incarceration in DUI case

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Kentucky State Representative is facing several days on home incarceration after police arrested her for allegedly driving under the influence in 2024.

State Rep. Beverly Chester-Burton entered an Alford plea to the operating under the influence charge in this case on Oct. 15, according to court records. She was originally facing a reckless driving charge as well, but that was dismissed.

She was sentenced to 180 days in jail but 170 of those days were conditionally discharged, and she will be on home incarceration for 10 days…
