LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Several dogs rescued during a Louisville drug raid this week are getting proper care — warm baths, medical treatment and plenty of affection from shelter staff and volunteers.
At Louisville Metro Animal Services, volunteer Molly Velander gave one of the rescues, nicknamed Scrappy Pappy, a much-needed bath.
“We just met like 20 minutes ago and now we’re taking a bath together,” Velander said as the dog shook water onto her. “A lot of people are like ‘ahh! It’s kind of gross.’ Nah. I like it. It’s fun.”…
