Fern Creek firefighter receives national recognition for saving child’s life while off-duty

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Fern Creek firefighter is receiving national recognition after saving a child from drowning while off duty earlier this year.

Sgt. Aaron Dossey of Fern Creek Fire and EMS was honored in New York City’s Times Square on National First Responders Day for his heroic efforts.
