KENTUCKY — A man died early Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 64 West while fleeing the scene of a crash, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Officers responded around 2:06 a.m. to a report of a collision on I-64 East near the junction with I-65. Authorities said the driver of a Hyundai Santa Fe rear-ended a Land Rover at a high rate of speed and then ran from the vehicle.
While attempting to flee, the man entered the westbound lanes of I-64 and was struck by a passing motorist. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle that hit him remained at the scene and cooperated with police; no charges are expected…
