Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg has announced a community food drive in partnership with Dare to Care. This comes as federal food assistance programs are expected to lapse due to the ongoing government shutdown. The food drive will support local pantries, which are facing higher demand and rising grocery prices. More than 84,000 Louisville residents who use SNAP benefits will be affected when the aid ends on November 1, 2025.
