53 Counterfeit Luxury Watches Seized In Shipments From Hong Kong, Worth $6.6 Million If Genuine

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in Kentucky last week seized more than 50 counterfeit luxury watches shipped from Hong Kong, which would have been worth $6.6 million if genuine.

CBP officers in Louisville on Oct. 28 seized two shipments after inspection revealed they contained 53 watches bearing trademarks from brands including Richard Mille, Rolex, Hublot, Cartier, Swarovski, G-Shock, and Patek Philippe. CBPs Centers of Excellence and Expertise, the agencys trade experts, determined they were counterfeit.

The shipments, from Hong Kong, were destined for residences in Union City, Ga., and Doral, Fla. If the watches had been real, they would have had a combined Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price of $6.6 million…
