LOUISVILLE — The Humana Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Humana Inc. for the past 44 years, announced $500,000 in new investments to support food banks and nutrition programs in four states to help address urgent needs in communities where the loss of food assistance for nearly 42 million Americans has intensified food insecurity.
This and other economic challenges have contributed to a sharp rise in demand for food support.
