Louisville mom shares 700-mile journey to find care for autistic son with Kentucky lawmakers

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville family was back in Frankfort on Wednesday to share their experience moving their autistic son to Kansas to receive the care he couldn’t get here at home.

Frankie Moldoveanu has profound autism and is non-verbal. His violent outbursts were too much to handle at home, making it unsafe for his parents and sisters.

WHAS11’s Brooke Hasch has shared Frankie’s parents’ journey in finding the care he needs, which took the Moldoveanu family to Heartspring in Wichita, nearly 700 miles away…
