LG&E lineman killed on the job remembered as loving father, husband who loved his work

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville Gas and Electric line technician killed while working on a power line in Oldham County last week was honored this week by his colleagues, friends and family as a loving husband and father.

Kyle Ferree, of Corydon, Indiana, was identified by his family. His mother, Mary Ferree, said her son was crazy about his family, a great husband and devoted father to one- and three-year-old little girls, with another on the way.

His colleagues gathered for a final call tribute and procession earlier this week. A voice on the call can be heard saying “He has climbed his last pole … We will take it from here.”…
