Louisville high school student creates nonprofit for homeless in mom’s honor

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Louisville high school student is honoring his late mother by helping others in the community.

The Louisville FOX affiliate WDRB said Dylon Boone, a senior at Saint Xavier High School, started the nonprofit organization Touch of Terra in memory of his mom, Terra, who died unexpectedly in January 2024.

The organization made 500 ready-to-go backpacks for homeless people in Louisville as its first project.
