Shelter-in-place lifted after chemical spill in Jeffersonville ‘contained’

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. — A chemical spill in southern Indiana prompted a brief shelter-in-place order with authorities asking the public to avoid the area.

The Clark County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) said the chemical spill happened near POSCO in the 5100 block of Loop Road on Tuesday.
