State files motion to dismiss charges in deadly head-on collision

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The state of Indiana has filed a motion to dismiss charges against a Louisville man accused in a deadly head-on collision that resulted in the death of an Evansville woman.

A motion was filed today to dismiss charges of causing death when operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and causing serious bodily injury when operating a vehicle while intoxicated filed against Malik Stafford. 31-year-old Maria Guetling was killed in the crash and her child was seriously injured.

At the time of the crash the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office said Stafford had cannabis in his system…
