The Kentucky Humane Society reports that a young puppy named Ralphie was recently brought to its Sam Swope Pet Treatment and Lifesaving Center in Louisville in critical condition.
According to the organization, Ralphie was found scavenging for food and exhibited severe symptoms, including labored breathing and internal bleeding.
X-rays revealed blood in his chest and the presence of small bones in his stomach, leading staff to suspect he had ingested toxins, possibly from eating a poisoned animal…
