USPS customers warned of huge delays ahead of holiday postal deadlines

UNITED States Postal Service customers are complaining of shipping delays as fears mount that some gifts might not make it by Christmas Day.

Packages have been sitting undelivered due to concerning delays at sorting facilities caused by weather and staffing issues.

Customers in Louisville, Kentucky, say their packages have remained in distribution centers for weeks, with no update from the USPS on when their deliveries will be completed.

A union member of the National Association of Letter Carriers in Louisville claimed to local ABC affiliate WHAS that the delays were due to a staffing shortage at distribution centers, causing packages to pile up unprocessed and mail carriers to deliver fewer items…
