‘People aren’t sure where to go.’ | Louisville Metro Council approves $1.15M to revive 24-hour crisis center

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Metro Council passed just over a million dollars for the revival of a 24-hour crisis center, seven years after a similar center called The Living Room closed due to budget cuts.

The new center, expected to open in April, is being designed with more longevity in mind than its predecessor.

“Anyone can walk in the door, and they’ll leave with a plan,” said Liz McKune, who is overseeing the creation of the all-hours crisis center for Seven Counties Services.
