More than 120 restaurants opened in over the last year, meaning the Louisville food scene is still heating up.
The Courier Journal tracked each opening since the first days of 2025, as restaurants such as Benfinita Modern Italian and Yonutz, the smashed doughnut chain, opened their doors. Throughout the year, we noticed some trends, such as a fad toward French cuisine, as well as a flurry of bagel shops around town.
