Louisville man found guilty of murder 3 years after fatal shooting in Beechmont neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville man was found guilty of murder earlier this month in connection to a fatal shooting in September 2022.

The shooting took place around 8 p.m. Sept. 11 in the 200 block of East Wampum Avenue, near Interstate 264. Louisville Metro Police said officers responded to find a man who had been shot multiple times. He later died at the hospital.

Laron Spalding was quickly arrested and charged in the murder. He was 51 at the time of the shooting. This month, he was found guilty of murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
