BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — A Louisville, Kentucky, man has been sentenced to serve more than four decades in federal prison after he was convicted of online coercion and enticement of a Blount County teen.
On Tuesday, the Blount County Sheriff’s Office announced that Nathaniel Covington, 27, was sentenced to 40 years and six months. The U.S. Attorney’s Office, Western District of Kentucky, reported that Covington was convicted of online coercion and enticement of a minor, sexual exploitation of a child, and transportation of a minor for sex.

Covington was ordered to pay $3,000 in restitution. Following his sentence, he will be on supervised release for the rest of his life.
BCSO explained that on June 14, 2022, a 14-year-old girl was reported missing. When deputies began searching for her, they tracked her to Louisville, Kentucky. Investigators worked with the Louisville Police Department, who went to Covington’s home and spoke with a family member who said they had seen the girl with Covington, but they were no longer there…
