FAIRDALE, Ky. (KT) — Kentucky added three Save Haven Baby Boxes in December, and now 62 locations offer anonymous infant surrender in communities across the commonwealth.

Two Louisville-based nonprofits are on a mission to install as many Safe Haven Baby Boxes as possible in the metroplex. The third box of their partnership was unveiled on Tuesday, December 9 at the Fairdale Fire Protection District headquarters.
Terry Hall, founder, CEO and president of the Lesley and Rhyan Prather Foundation, said Safe Haven boxes offer “hope, safety and a lifeline” for parents in crisis.
Safe Haven Baby Boxes are climate-controlled bassinets placed in hospitals, fire stations, EMS stations or other qualified facilities where parents can surrender a newborn up to 30 days old in Kentucky…
