LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Baxter Avenue Theatres will close its doors as 2025 comes to an end, marking the end of nearly three decades of movie showings in Louisville.
The theater first opened in 1996 and has been home to midnight screenings, film festival premieres and Louisville exclusive and independent films. The decision to close was made this month by parent company Apex Entertainment after the Mid City Mall was put up for sale.
