LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Starting Jan. 1, 2026, Kentuckians will be paying less in individual income tax, dropping from 4 percent to 3.5 percent after state lawmakers passed a bill early in 2025 to approve the decrease and the Kentucky governor signed it.
For most working Kentuckians, it could mean a few extra hundred dollars in your pocket for the year.
