LOUISVILLE, KY – A specialized team of prosecutors created by Attorney General Russell Coleman to target gun violence in Kentucky’s largest city has secured its first murder conviction.
On December 22, 2025, a Jefferson County jury found Laron Spalding, 54, guilty of Murder and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon. The jury has recommended a sentence of 39 years in prison.
