TARC holding public meetings on possible fare changes, Title VI plan

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Louisville’s public transit agency, TARC, is planning to hold eight total meetings on proposed fare changes and the Title VI plan for the New TARC Network, which is set to be implemented in August.

TARC officials say this is the first proposed fare adjustment since 2012 and is part of the department’s efforts to “ensure long-term and sustainable transit service.”

During the meetings, officials will discuss the equity analysis of the New TARC Network pertaining to any potential impact of the changes in the system to minorities and low-income populations, as required by the Federal Transit Administration, as well as the proposed fare changes…
