Businesses near UPS crash site will be given full access next Wednesday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – During Mayor Craig Greenberg’s weekly press conference, the city announced that, starting next Wednesday, local businesses will have full access along Grade Lane at the southern portion of the UPS crash site.

The area will open up with 24 hour access for both business owners and employees.

The site access has been restricted since the November 2025 crash of UPS Flight 2976 bound to Honolulu. The plane lost its left engine on takeoff and crashed into the industrial area near Muhammad Ali International Airport…
