LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A judge recently dismissed the federal consent decree that would have enforced police reforms in Louisville through the courts.
The agreement was designed to fix long-standing issues inside the Louisville Metro Police Department, but the city is now taking the lead on its own through what Mayor Craig Greenberg, D-Louisville, called a “Community Commitment” plan.
