9 arrested in Louisville after federal task force targets alleged drug trafficking ring

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A series of raids in Louisville resulted in the seizure of 70 pounds of meth and enough fentanyl to kill 1,200 people.

In addition to the drugs, police said they found at least 12 guns, half of which were stolen. One of those guns was used in a homicide.

Police searched 10 locations in Louisville last weekend and made nine arrests. Two indictments charged the suspects with drug trafficking-related offenses, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky.
