LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – On Sunday, Louisville Metro Animal Services held its monthly drive-thru microchip clinic. It’s all in an effort to get cats and dogs across the country microchipped and in compliance with a new ordinance.
In October 2025, Louisville’s Metro Council passed legislation requiring all dogs and cats over three months old within Louisville’s Metro to be microchipped.
